Gamesa to set up 50 MW wind power project in Amba

IL&FS is planning to set up a 50 MW wind power farm in Amba in Madhya Pradesh. The company has awarded a contract to Gamesa to implement the project. As a part of this contract, Gamesa will supply, erect and commission 25 units of its G114 – 2.0 MW wind turbines. The G114-2.0 MW is designed to yield more power at lower wind speeds, making it particularly suited to India's wind conditions. With a 114 meter rotor its swept area is 38 percent greater than that of its predecessor. The project is likely to be completed as turnkey project by March 2017.
