South Delhi Municipal Corporation is planning to set up a bio-gas plant of 150 tonne in Najafgarh in Delhi. Land required for the project is around two acres which is available in Goyala Dairy Road in Najafgarh zone. The biogas plant is likely to be implemented on build, operate and transfer (BOT) basis for a period of 10 years and can be extended upto five years. The project will be executed under the supervision of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
