Adhesives are formulations using compounds with fillers, pigments, stabilizers and other additives like perfumes. Low performance adhesives typically are made of natural substance like starch,dexterin, natural rubber or proteins. High performance adhesives are based on polymers like epoxy, silicones, cyanoacrylate and polysulfide. They are widely used in packing industry, construction industry, automobile and foot-wear industry. It is dominated by high performance adhesives in aerospace, automotives and construction.
Indian market is estimated at USD 60 billion and is growing at a rate of 6%.
